POSITION: HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGER

MONTH: DECEMBER 2023

 

JOB DESCRIPTION

•      Develop HR strategies and initiatives to aligned with the overall business strategy.

•      Implementing HR policies and procedures: To ensure employees comply with policies & procedures. Ensure effective communication and compliance throughout the organization.

•      Recruitment and onboarding: Coordinating the end-to-end recruitment process, new employee onboarding & exit process.

•      Performance management: Oversee performance management systems, including performance appraisals and feedback mechanisms. Provide guidance and support to managers on performance-related issues.

•      Payroll: Manage full cycle of monthly payroll functions, compile with local regulator stipulated in the Employment Act, SOCSO, EIS, EPF, HRDF, and others statutory contribution on a timely basis.

•      Employee relations: Serve as a point of contact for employee queries, grievances, and disciplinary actions. Provide guidance and support to managers and employees in addressing workplace issues. Ensure fair and consistent application of HR policies.

•      Compensation and benefits: Assist in developing and reviewing compensation and benefits programs to attract and retain talent.

•      Training and development: Coordinating to identify training needs and coordinate the development & delivery of training programs for employees. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training initiatives and managing the company’s HRDF account.

•      Compliance and legal requirements: Stay updated with Employment Act, regulations, and industry best practices. Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations and maintain accurate HR records and documentation.

•      Employee engagement and culture: Develop and implement initiatives to foster a positive work environment, promote employee engagement, and enhance the Company culture.

•      To carry out any other duties and ad-hoc assignments, as and when required.

 

REQUIREMENTS

•      Qualification: bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A master’s degree in HR or an HR certification is a plus.

•      Experience: At least 3 years of progressive experience in HR roles, with a focus on HR operations, employee relations, and talent management. Experience in a leadership or supervisory capacity is preferred.

•      Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and employment laws.

•      Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

•      Able to speak clearly, confidently, and negotiate effectively.

•      Proactive in communication and excellent in verbal and written English, and Malay.

•      Ability to build relationships and work effectively with employees at all levels.

•      Sound judgment and decision-making abilities.

•      Analytical mindset with the ability to use HR data for insights and decision-making.

•      Proficiency in Info Tech system are in a plus or other HR software/tools.
